We hope everyone is having a wonderful 2012! Our New Year's celebration was quiet. We were all in bed early. I didn't want to be up when the ball dropped. I'm just looking out for Freddy, you know. He's not stupid, but I didn't want any accidents happening with the television. His ears perked up when he heard people talking about the ball dropping, so I wanted to be sure he wasn't too disappointed when there weren't any balls dropping that he could fetch.
As you can see from the photos, I got to go to the Groomer this past Friday! Although I love my brother, it was so nice to have a day of pampering with just me! I feel so much better.
I think I may have scared Freddy, though. He sniffed me from stem to stern, and licked my muzzle a few times. I reassured him I was fine, and still me. I was just a little more glam than usual.
I was very disappointed that I haven't been able to show off my new look..err, get some exercise. It snowed quite a bit on Friday, and has been very cold all weekend. We've only been outside for short potty breaks. But, Freddy did play in the snow briefly with Aunt Pat while I was gone. I'm glad. It's nice for him to have some alone time with the humans. Freddy's doing very well with his therapy. The doctor called him her "poster child" for the shots he's getting in his knee. He still has to watch what he does, and there are a few more exercises the humans have to do with him. Some of these exercises were the same ones they did with Heidi. So, I've been trying to give him pointers on how to do them.
I'm not concerned. Freddy's a fast learner. He probably doesn't need me to show him what to do. But, who doesn't like a free treat when they're offered?
