Happy New Year!!!

We hope everyone had a safe and happy New Year celebration! No, we're not hung over. We're just making up for the naps we didn't get while the roofers were here.

The weather was pretty good last week, so the roofers were able to finish New Years Eve. It's a good thing they finished. We've had a lot of snow the past few days. It turns out there was an extra layer of shingles on the lower level and the rafters were sagging away from the plywood from the weight. One of the guys even put his foot through the plywood! It wasn't my fault, honest! All I did was lay down at Aunt Pat's side when we came back from our walk that afternoon. The foreman pointed me out and then he showed us how he could step right through the sheet of plywood. I know we impressed the roofers with our good behavior.

It's snowed a lot the past couple of days, and it's gotten a lot colder, too. Daddy and Aunt Pat are back shoveling the back yard so we have places to go. We don't always stay in the clear areas, though. Chloe loves to run We haven't been able to go for walkies, either. We've been doing some exercises in the house, following Aunt Pat all over which isn't the same as a good stroll. But, it's so cold out, we don't like staying out for too long, either. I'm enjoying having enough snow to eat and to make some really good snow dog angels.

Chloe's been so excited about the snow, too. She's been running around the back, both in the shoveled areas, but also in the areas that the humans haven't shoveled.

She's been at the back fence barking for Zeke, the dog who lives next to the G's. She likes to run to the fence, and then run back and forth while he does the same thing on his side of the fence. He hasn't been out much, so Chloe will stand at the back fence and bark at the G's house. They don't come out, either. By that time we're all ready to come back inside and warm up.
