Chloe, Director Of Homeland Security....

our home and land security, that is. She loves to sit on the table in the living room, observing the outdoors. She'll bark at other dogs being walked by their humans, the mailman, and any other strangers passing. Well, Monday, the 13Th of July, was no exception. Aunt Pat had warned us that a man would be by to read the gas and electric meter, but she didn't know when he'd come. Chloe was at her usual position when a man wearing a yellow vest walked across the lawn. Of course, Chloe started barking to alert Aunt Pat that he was here. The meter reader got so scared, he dropped the meter read card he leaves at houses where nobody answers the door, in the driveway and went to the next house! Who would have thought that our sweet little Chloe could scare a grown man!

Daddy cleaned out the medicine cupboard this morning. There were a few bottles of Katie's medication left, so he called the Vet to see what he should do with them. They told him to bring them over. Apparently the drug rep who comes by takes them, and his company sends them to third world countries to help animals in need. It's comforting to know that part of Katie will live on to help some other animal.
